This picture was taken in 1996 in Ephraim, Utah. (My glasses were HUGE!)
I have always been the girl who has spent most of her time as "one of the guys". In high school and college and even now I have always had close guy friends. I am just more comfortable with guys than I am with girls and lucky for me I have some amazing guys that are apart of my life.
So one of the interesting things that I have noticed since acquiring roommates is just how different girls and guys are. I mean, of course I have known that there were differences before now, but seeing that recently I have chosen to spend the majority of my time with guys I guess I have just forgotten some of the odd things girls do.
Girls are more vocal. They like to talk (or worry) about things more than guys do. Guys are more likely to do than think.
Girls leave a lot more hair in the sink.
Girls smell better. We like candles and smelly lotion.
(Most) girls don't eat as much as guys. My guys friends are "peckish".
Girls are a lot more complimentary. If you look good they tell you. (I do have a couple of guy friends that are good at this though!) - who knows - maybe girls are just more observant!
Guys seem to talk about kissing a lot more than girls do. And care wether or not they are better at it than the others in her life.
When a girl is going to go out, she worries more about what she is wearing and what her hair looks like.
Girls know the difference between the various appliances and utensils that can be found in the kitchen.
Girls like painting their toenails and waxing their eyebrows, and I highly doubt guys would ever think about doing that or want to if they did think about it.
Guys have a weird fascination with video games that few girls share.
In general, guys are more drawn to the physical. Girls are more worried about how the guy will treat her. Not that a good looking guy doesn't catch her eye.
I am sure there are more, these are just some that come to mind. And after reading this, as much as I love spending time with the guys, I am definitely all girl!
