This is a picture taken of me earlier this month while on a cruise in the Caribbean on September 4, 2005.

Yesterday I received one of the greatest compliments. I took the opportunity to bare my testimony in sacrament meeting. After the meeting was over Jane come up to me and told me that she had never seen me look more beautiful than she had while I was up on that stand. She said that I had radiated a sense of peace.

Peace is something that has been gradually creeping in to my life over the past few months. And that peace has filled my soul with confidence and a feeling of love from the one person who truly matters.

And to be called beautiful meant a lot. I have never felt myself to be attractive. One of the advantages of being a photographer is that you rarely have to be in the pictures. While on the cruise I was in some of the pictures and for the first time in my life I didn't find one (well maybe the one that my head got cut off) that I didn't feel attractive.

It is amazing how that sense of peace can change you both inside and out.
