Innocence Lost

This picture was taken by me back in 1998 and is entitled “Merry Mary” and was published by the International Library of Photography.

There is such innocence to children. From the way they look at life and how simple that view is to how they feel such basic emotions, from happiness to sadness to anger. How there greatest protector and source of comfort is their mother or their father. They find excitement over ice cream cones, bouncing balls, chocolate, lizards, and much more.

How I wish I was still that innocent.

You know, I'll agree with you to a point there, especially the part about relying on mom and dad for comfort and protection....That's been a long time gone for me. But you have to admit that most of us don't seem to have lost our excitement over ice cream cones, bouncing balls, chocolate, and lizards... :)

And there are things that I get excited over, which I didn't as a kid. Like... women over 30 :)
