Music is such an amazing gift. Sunday morning my roommate and I pulled out a few cds to listen to as we prepared for church. As the song "Come Thou Font Of Every Blessings" started to play, my soul just lifted up and felt full of peace. This has always been one of my favorite hymns and reminds me of how grateful I am for a loving Heavenly Father.

We put another cd into the player as we rode in my Jeep to the church building. A song came on which touched my heart in another way. This one was once an answer to a prayer and every time I hear it I remember the love my Father in Heaven has for me.

Last night I had two friends over for dinner. The two guys played darts as I was finishing the preparations. I stuck in a mix cd I made about a month ago. A song came on and my one friend stopped playing and turned to me and commented on the song that was playing. It amazes me how music and individual songs have such an impact on each of us. I will sometimes be listening to the radio or to a cd and a song will take me back to a different time and place. The memory tied to it will become very fresh in my mind. Sometimes it has to do with a boy, a funeral, a vacation with friends, but each one is remembered as the song plays.
