A Smile On My Face

This is a picture taken by Rick Egan for the Salt Lake Tribune at this year's Sundance Film festival.

I like giraffes a lot so when I saw this picture I had to post it because I thought it was hilarious. It amazed me how this simple picture could bring a smile to my face. I love finding joy in the simple things in life. Each one is a reminder to me just how much our Father in Heaven loves each of us. Here are some of the simple things that I just love.

• Giraffes
• Daisies
• Sunsets
• Pictures of happy memories
• Livestrong armbands
• Colored Sharpies
• Ice
• E-mails from friends
• Annie sleeping on my bed
• Multi-colored post-its
• Rainbows
• A child laughing
• Rain
• Fresh raspberries
• Cherry limeaids (Holly - we need to make some homemade ones soon!)
• Smell of fresh popcorn
• Playing barefoot in a stream
• Fresh baked bread (yummy!)
• Counting Crows song on the radio
• A favorite Gilmore Girls episode

There are so many more that aren't on this list, each one is such a basic and simple thing, but each one brings me such pleasure.
